The successful exchange of any spatial data requires an basic understanding of the essential principles.  While these topic challenges even the most advanced users, GIS is meaningless without them.

 

Pacific - specific  information

As residents of the 9th Island (Nevada), we appreciate the unique datum issues Pacific Islanders face since the Pacific and Mariana plates remain in constant motion.  

Parameters for the WGS84_to_NAD83 (PacP00)  transformations were updated in December 2008.  Check out our articles on incorporating these changes to ArcPad, ArcGIS and Pathfinder Office.
