Building a GDB is not very linear processes

These articles break up this otherwise challenging task into manageable steps to build the geodatabase for the Sample Project introduced in the GIS Section.

We will walk through the process of building a personal geodatabase in ArcCatalog.

These steps include creating the –

Personal geodatabase

Feature dataset

Feature classes

Range & coded value domains, and

Pairing geodatabase domains with feature classes

GPS Analyst users must also -

Enable the GPS Analyst extension

GPS-enable the GDB and feature classes

Set accuracy required for validation

Specify an ArcGIS transformation
