For field purposes, specify a coordinate system and datum in the Setup/Coordinate System menu.

These settings do not affect how data stored on the device but permit correct display and data entry for the below purposes.

A. Background image

To ensure the image displays at the correct ground location, set the image projection before transferring it to TerraSync.

B. Coordinate display

Choose whichever spatial reference is most convenient for display in the field.

C. Navigation coordinates

The spatial reference of the navigation target must be set before entering coordinates into TerraSync.
